Our story
Built to be the plan Leon never got
JawBuddy started with Leon Rauch. For years he went from one specialist to the next with severe jaw pain, and nothing really helped. So he teamed up with our co-founders to build the plan he never got.
Every exercise was researched and designed by Moritz Scherer, Christian Wolf and other dentists and physiotherapists. Benjamín Cádiz de Gracia built the algorithm behind your personal plan: the app looks at how you're doing and makes sure you always get the exercise that's right for you.
Everyone on our team has their own story with jaw pain, and that's why we care so much about what we're building.
Some people bought an old iPhone just to use JawBuddy.
Supported by
Built by people who actually treat jaw conditions
We are not just a technology team. We are physiotherapists, dentists, scientists, and developers who work every day to create the standard of care we would want for our own families.
Our Core Values
What drives us every day
Evidence, Not Trends
We don't guess. Our therapy is grounded in established medical evidence, CE-marked today, with MDR certification.
Holistic Health
We know a jaw problem isn't just about teeth. It's about stress, neck coordination and mental well-being. We look at the whole person.
Accessibility
You shouldn't have to wait months. We believe good training should be available 24/7, wherever you are.
Frequently asked questions
- Bruxism means you unconsciously grind your teeth or clench your jaw, during the day or while sleeping. Common signs include a tense jaw, neck pain, headaches, or worn-down teeth. Many people don't notice it until symptoms become severe. Ask your dentist at your next visit if they see signs of grinding.
- No. A bite guard passively protects teeth from wear. JawBuddy actively addresses the underlying muscle tension through targeted exercises and relaxation techniques. Using both together is the best approach.
- No. You can start using JawBuddy without a diagnosis. However, if you experience severe pain, joint sounds, or jaw locking, we recommend seeing a healthcare professional first.
